Living a life you truly love

This is a subject I'm incredibly passionate about because I've spent a large chunk of my life feeling very unhappy and thanks to that it taught me that, the most important thing in life is to live a life you truly love. To be doing a job you love, being in a relationship that makes you feel good and being the healthiest, happiest version of yourself.

The problem is we all get so caught up in 'life' that we forget to actually live it. We go through the motions of each day but don't take any time to do the things we enjoy. It's so sad that it seems to have become the norm to live an unhappy life. The norm that most people don't live they just merely. Our lives are constantly changing around us but yet we're too afraid to make any changes ourselves. I know it can be scary but what we have to remember is that change created some of the best parts of our lives so far.

Health
We can't always do much to change our health if we have certain conditions and this can leave us feeling very unhappy but a lot of people who have chronic illnesses don't always help themselves. It's hard to motivate yourself to eat well and exercise when you're already not feeling great but it's extremely important because it can improve your symptoms dramatically. Eating a healthy balanced diet which includes lots of fruit and veg is vital whether you have a health condition or not, it will the catalyst you need to feel your best.

Relationships
Relationships with family, friends & partners can affect our happiness because we're affected most by the people we have around us. Whether these people have a positive or negative impact on us can determine our overall happiness. If you're constantly arguing with your partner it's probably not the right relationship for you and if you've got a friend who is always moaning, you don't need them. Don't be scared to remove negative people from your life.

Work
Finding the right work-life balance is tough and it's an area which many people are never able to get right. The majority will go through life hating their job because they're too afraid to change, which would be fine if we didn't spend such a large chunk of our lives at work but we do. No one likes starting a new job and being a 'new bee' but try to think past that and imagine how much happier it could make you in the long run.

Exercise
Exercise may not be an area people think of when it comes to happiness but I'm a strong believer that it's a vital piece of the puzzle. We all know it needs to be a part of our lives in order to live the healthiest & longest one possible but not enough people utilise it as a tool for happiness. A recent study shows that those who do not exercise are almost twice as likely to suffer from depression compared to those who were exercising one to two hours a week. Research also showed that 12% of depression cases could have been prevented by a small amount of regular exercise.

Hopefully, this post can help you consider some areas of your life that need to be reconsidered. I know it isn't always possible to enjoy everything we do in life but I think by making some changes we can increase our overall happiness.

What we really have to remember is that we only get one life, so don't waste it.
